While Lucasfilm has been busy giving updates about a list of upcoming Star Wars projects, the fate of the Disney+ series Kenobi is still mired in uncertainty. The president of Lucasfilms Kathleen Kennedy has revealed that the season 2 of Kenobi is not in active development. But that does not mean that the series has been cancelled.

In a conversation with Variety, Kathleen Kennedy says, “That (Kenobi) is not in active development. But I never say never, because there’s always the possibility. That show was so well-received and (director) Deborah Chow did such a spectacular job. Ewan McGregor really wants to do another. Everybody’s all hands on deck with what we’re doing right now, as you can see by what we showed everybody (at the Celebration). We’ll turn our attention to that again, maybe down the road."

At the recent Star Wars celebration event, it was announced that Daisy Ridley will return as Rey Skywalker, in a film set years after the events of Rise of the Skywalker. The heads in charge of Star Wars also revealed that Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, and Andor Season 2 are also in active development.
