Maxxxine, the third instalment of A24's first major horror franchise, has added new cast members. The film, headlined by Mia Goth, is directed by Ti West, who was also previously helmed the first two films, X and Pearl, in the franchise. 

The new actors who onboarded the upcoming project include Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon.

X, set in the early 70s, features Mia Goth in a double role, a young adult film star Maxine and an older woman, Pearl. Maxine witnesses the death of her friends, who are killed by Pearl. The next instalment, prequel Pearl, is set in early 1918 and showcases the life of Pearl. 

The upcoming film Maxxxine follows Maxine's story after X's violent events.
