The first look images for the upcoming film adaptation of the video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy's has been released online. The film is directed by Emma Tammi, based on a  screenplay that she co-wrote with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. It was earlier confirmed that Josh Hutcherson will star as the lead in the film. He is best known for his performance in The Hunger Games film series alongside Jennifer Lawrence.

First announced in 2015, the production on the film wrapped up in April 2023. The film is being produced by Blumhouse Productions, who are best known for making small scale horror films.
