The Witcher season 3 has wrapped up filming in London, UK. Bola Ogun, who directed the final episode of the upcoming season officially confirmed the end of filming. Henry Cavill celebrated the end of filming through a note that thanked his cast and crew.

The fantasy series stars Henry Cavill in the lead along with an ensemble cast that includes Freya Allen, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, Eamon Farren, MyAnna Buring, Mimî M. Khayisa, and Royce Pierreson.

The season 3 production briefly halted for a couple of weeks in July following news that Henry Cavill had contracted COVID-19. Following the quarantine, the actor was unable to attend the San Diego Comic-Con that took place around that time.

Developed for Netflix by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the series is an adaptation of the popular fantasy novel series of the same name written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

Although an official release date has not been announced yet, the upcoming season is expected to release around December 2023.
