The first official teaser for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is out. The film is a sequel to Rian Johnson’s 2019 whodunnit film Knives Out. The Knives Out franchise will revolve around a private detective Benoit Blanc who cracks mysterious, seemingly unsolvable, cases.

Daniel Craig plays Benoit Blanc in the film while the ensemble cast includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista. After the success of the first film, Netflix bought the rights for two more sequels. 

Edward Norton plays a tech billionaire who invites his high-profile friends for a private party on a Greek island. Things take an ugly turn when one of his friends gets mysteriously murdered. Detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, is called to the island to crack the case. 

The film will have its premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival on 27 September. With a US theatrical release set to take place in November, the film will release on Netflix on 23 December.
