Visual effects company Industrial Lights and Magic have won the Creative Arts Emmy award for Outstanding Special Effects for their work in The Book of Boba Fett. The Star Wars spinoff series was also nominated for three other categories for its costumes, sound editing, and stunts. 

The Book of Boba Fett follows the adventures of the bounty hunter Boba Fett who appears in both the original Star Wars trilogy and its prequel trilogy. The show immediately picks up after he was last seen being swallowed by a Sarlacc in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. 

Temuera Morrison, who first appeared as Boba Fett in the prequels, reprises his role for the series. The series was developed for Disney+ by Iron Man fame Jon Favreau while Star Wars: Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez act as executive producers along with Favreau. The seven-episode series premiered on Disney+ on 29 December and ended its run on 9 February. 

The show had crossover episodes with another Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal appeared as the Mandalorian in two episodes. The film also stars Carey Jones, Jennifer Beals, David Pasquesi, Matt Berry, and Ming-Na Wen in supporting roles.
