The makers of The Master Gardener, have released an official poster for the film which reveals the look of Joel Edgerton’s character in the film. The indie crime thriller is directed by veteran screenwriter Paul Schrader. He frequently collaborates with Martin Scorsese and has co-written films like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and The Last Temptation of Christ.

The film follows a horticulturist, who works in an estate owned by a wealthy widower. The plot thickens when his employer forces him to take on a young apprentice, which leads to dark secrets from his past making a comeback.

Apart from Edgerton and Weaver, the film also stars Esai Morales and Quintessa Swindell. The film will have its premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on 3 September 2022. The makers are yet to announce an official date for a theatrical release. The production team is expected to release trailers and other promotional materials in the upcoming months.
