The first official trailer for Damien Chazelle’s upcoming film Babylon has been released online. The trailer gives us a deeper glimpse into Chazelle’s vision of the golden age of Hollywood in all its jazz-filled glory. The makers had previously released a teaser trailer for the film two months ago. The film is written and directed by Damien Chazelle who is best known for films like Whiplash, La La Land, and First Man.

The comedy-drama is set in an interesting era when Hollywood films were starting to transition from silent films to talkies, which changed the dynamic between silent-era actors and the studios. The cast of the film includes Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, along with Tobey Maguire, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, and Jean Smart in supporting roles.

Paramount Pictures are reportedly releasing the film on 23 December 2022. The film premiered at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival.
