The official trailer for Noah Baumbach’s apocalyptic dark comedy White Noise has been released online. Adapted from the 1985 novel by Don DeLillo, this is the first film made by the director to not be based on Baumbach’s original story. The film follows a professor who teaches about Adolf Hitler and how his family is torn apart by an airborne toxic event following a train accident that spreads toxic waste all over the town.

Adam Driver, who previously collaborated with the director on Marriage Story, plays the lead in the film opposite Greta Gerwig along with a supporting cast that includes Raffey Cassidy, André Benjamin, Alessandro Nivola, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Don Cheadle. With a theatrical release set for 25 November, White Noise is currently scheduled to stream on Netflix on 30 December.
 
The film had its first world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for a Golden Lion award.
