Long-time friends and creative collaborators Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are reportedly starting a new film production company together. According to the actor/writer duo, their company will address the problem faced by the creators, which is the complications related to profit sharing borne out of the burgeoning streaming services. The production company will be built on a model that puts the artists first before the business and gives the power back to the creators.

The move to start the production company comes after Affleck and Damon recently obtained $100 million in funding from the investment firm Red Bird Capital Partners, the funding will be supplemented by Affleck and Damon’s own capital.
