The official trailer for the upcoming murder mystery Glass Onion A Knives Out Mystery has been released online. Netflix, the production company for the film, had previously released a teaser in September. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the film is a sequel to the director's 2019 whodunit mystery film Knives Out. Following the success of the original film, director Rian Johnson announced that he was planning to make a series of similar films with Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc solving a new mystery in every film. 

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has a new set of characters and a fresh mystery for the detective to solve. The ensemble cast of the film includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.  It was recently announced that streaming giant Netflix has bought the rights for two more Knives Out sequels.

In Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, a tech billionaire (played by Edward Norton) invites his friends over for a party on his private island where a person gets murdered and one of them on the island is suspected as the murderer. Detective Benoit Blanc is called on to solve the case.

The film recently premiered at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival and was well-received by the critics. With a US theatrical release set to take place in November, the film will release on Netflix on 23 December
