British actor Sam Claflin will headline an upcoming supernatural thriller titled Bagman.

Written by John Hulme, the film is set to be directed by Colm McCarthy, who has known for directing the second season of Peaky Blinders and the indie film The Girl With all the Gifts.

The film will feature Claflin as a father who desperately struggles against his deepest inner fear when the childhood monster he once vanquished returns to haunt him. This time, however, the father has to muster the strength to not just fight for himself, but for his family.

Bagman is produced by Temple Hill's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. The project is being introduced to international buyers in the coming days at the Cannes Film Festival.

Claflin rose to fame after his role as Philip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He also played Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games film series. His other film credits include Me Before You, My Cousin Rachel, and Enola Holmes. The actor is currently shooting for the Amazon series Daisy Jones and the Six.
