Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson to helm The Gorge

The film is reportedly based on a script from Zach Dean, who is famous for Tomorrow War

Director Scott Derrickson, who recently directed the highly-anticipated horror, The Black Phone, has announced his next. Titled The Gorge, the film is reportedly based on a script from Zach Dean, who is famous for Tomorrow War. Apart from this film, Derrickson has three more projects in the lineup. 

The Gorge is said to be an intense, genre-bending love story. Apart from directing the film, he is also co-producing the film along with Skydance films, under his production company Crooked Highway. They had previously produced Chris Evans-starrer Bermuda together.

The Black Phone marks his come back to theatrical releases and the film will hit the screens on June 24. He is also executive producing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
