The official poster for the Weird Al Yankovic biopic titled Weird: The Al Yankovic Story was released online. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is playing the eccentric singer and musician Weird Al Yankovic known for parodying popular songs.

The film is directed by Eric Appel and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, and Julianne Nicholson in supporting roles. The biopic is scheduled to release on the US streaming service The Roku Channel on November 4.

Weird Al Yankovic himself has co-written the film along with director Eric Appel. The momentum for the film's production sprung out of a parody video on the comedy site Funny or Die where a fake trailer was released for the singer/songwriters biopic. Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul starred as Weird Al Yankovic in the fake trailer, which was released in 2010. The official announcement for the film came in January 2022, with Daniel Radcliffe attached to the cast.

The trailer for the film was released last week and gained a lot of positive reactions from fans of the beloved musician.
