Lightyear, the animation action-adventure, will release on Disney Plus+Hotstar on August 3. 

Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Lightyear is a spin-off of the Toy Story film series and the fifth overall instalment in the franchise. The film features Buzz Lightyear character and it is said to be placed in a different fictional universe.

It is co-written and directed by Angus MacLane.The film stars Chris Evans as the voice of the titular character (Buzz Lightyear). The film first had its theatrical release on June 17.

In the film, Buzz and his team go on an adventurous journey only to find themselves lost in space 4.2 million lightyears from Earth. Their return is interrupted when he and his cat SOX encounter an army of ruthless robots.
