Rita Ora on board Beauty and the Beast prequel series

CE Features

Actor Rita Ora has joined the cast of Disney+'s upcoming Beauty and the Beast prequel series.

The series stars Luke Evans, who reprises his role as Gaston from the 2017 live-action movie, Josh Gad as LeFou (also known as Louie), and Fra Fee as Prince Benoit Berlioz, the friend of LeFou's sister Tilly (Briana Middleton), and Jelani Alladin as artist Jean-Michel.

The prequel series is set to take place years before we meet Gaston and LeFou in Belle's world, and features both Gaston and LeFou going on a journey with Tilly as they set out on an adventure connected to Tilly's past. Alladin will play Jean-Michel, a talented artist who has a quick wit, a sharp intellect, and a fierce independent streak.

The prequel series has Gad, Edward Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz serving as the showrunners and executive producers, with Lisel Tommy directing the show's pilot episode.

An official release date is yet to be announced for the prequel series.
