In his annual ritual of listing out his favourite films of the year, former US president, Barack Obama has released a list of films that he liked in 2022.  Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick and The Woman King starring Viola Davis, are among the list that includes 17 films.

"I saw some great movies this year – here are some of my favourites. What did I miss?" tweeted Obama and shared his list. It comprised of The Fabelmans, Decision To Leave, The Woman King, Aftersun, Emily The Criminal, Petite Maman, Descendant (produced by Obama's Higher Ground), Happening, Till, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Top Gun: Maverick, The Good Boss, Wheel Of Fortune And Fantasy, A Hero, Hit The Road, Tar and After Yang.

It is to be noted that while much talked about films like Avatar: Way of Water, RRR, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the comments section of his post had social media users suggesting these above mentioned titles.

Along with the film list, Obama also released a list of his favourite books and music from 2022.
