Jason Momoa to be recast as Lobo after Aquaman 2

Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in DC films is all set to be recast as another DC character named Lobo after his upcoming film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Before the Game of Thrones actor was cast as Aquaman, he was the fan favourite to play Lobo, the actor also proclaimed that he was a big fan of the character. He was eventually cast as Aquaman in the 2018 film directed by James Wan.

DC Studios is currently planning to reshape its plans for the future under the new leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran. Lobo is an interstellar bounty hunter and a gun-for-hire, created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen for DC comics in 1983.

It was also announced that a third instalment to the Wonder Woman franchise was also axed by Warner Bros. Patty Jenkins, who directed Wonder Woman and its sequel, had reportedly submitted a script outline to Gunn and Safran recently. She was told by the DC heads that they are not moving ahead with her franchise. According to sources, Henry Cavill’s return as Superman is also under murky waters as the development of Man of Steel 2 has been stopped.
