After the film's release, the makers confirmed that there will be a sequel. Meanwhile, Dhanush also revealed that he will be a part of the sequel as Lone Wolf (Avik San).

According to the streaming platform, the film's logline reads: "CIA agent Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), known as Sierra Six, is the Gray Man. He is recruited by the CIA, while he's serving time in state prison and is trained by his new boss, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), to become one of the best assassins in the foreign intelligence service. That is, until former CIA agent Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans) sets a target on his back, triggering a deadly manhunt around the world. Lloyd will stop at nothing to eliminate him. Then, Sierra Six wins the unexpected support of agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas).
