Aubrey Plaza, known for her work in Parks and Recreation, is the latest actor to join the ensemble cast of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis.

Written by The Godfather filmmaker who is also directing the independently financed film, Megalopolis , stars Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne among others.

Previously, Coppola had described the film as a contemporary drama in which "the fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius and conflicted love".

The big-budget film is set to go on floors later this year. 

Meanwhile, Plaza is set to star in the second season of HBO's hit anthology, The White Lotus.
