The Weeknd's The Idol teaser out

The teaser of the upcoming HBO Max series The Idol of Canadian musician The Weeknd was released recently.

As per the reports, the series is set in "the gutters of Hollywood" and focusses on female pop singer as she romances a club onwer and cult leader of Los Angeles.

The series stars Abel Tesfaye, who has also produced and co-written the series. It also stars  Moses Sumney, Blackpink’s Jennie, Mike Dean, Dan Levy, Rachel Sennott, Hank Azaria, Hari Nef, among others.

The Idol is co-created by Resfaye along with Reza Fahim. Joseph Epstein has also written the series, which is executive produced by Ashley Levinson, Kevin Turen and Aaron Gilbert.
