First look image out for Knives out sequel titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

The official synopsis for the film reads “Detective Benoit Blanc goes to Greece to take on a new case with a variety of suspects.”

Netflix released the first look image for the highly anticipated sequel to Knives out titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The streaming giant also announced that the film will release on December 23. Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed the first film, is back for the sequel. Former James Bond actor Daniel Craig will reprise his role as Benoit Blanc, the quirky detective with a thick southern US accent. 

The film will show us, Benoit Blanc, unravelling a fresh new mystery with a new set of colourful characters.  The ensemble cast includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista. The film is currently scheduled to premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival in September 2022. Netflix is reportedly planning to release the film in theatres 45 days before its premiere on the streaming site. The makers are yet to announce an official release date and release a teaser for the film.
