Dan Levy to star in and produce Netflix's romantic comedy feature

The actor has signed a first-look deal with the streamer, and will also work on a TV series after his current exclusive deal with ABC ends

Schitt's Creek-fame Dan Levy has signed a first-look deal with Netflix. As the first project under the deal, the actor will write, direct, produce and star in an upcoming untitled romantic comedy film

Plot details are currently unavailable. The film is produced by Stacey Snider and Kate Fenske alongside Levy

Meanwhile, the actor's upcoming Netflix series under the deal will production in July 2022, when his three-year deal with ABC ends. Until then, Levy will continue working on the three live-action projects in the works as well as animated comedy Standing By which has a presentation order at Hulu.

Levy is best known for his role in Schitt’s Creek. The comedy series had won nine Primetime Emmys last year, out of which Levy counted four trophies including Outstanding Comedy Series, Supporting Actor Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing, and Directing Comedy Series. Levy recently starred in the Tri-Star Kristen Stewart romantic comedy movie The Happiest Season.
