Sam Richardson of Veep fame has bagged the leading role in Stranded Asset produced by his The Tomorrow War co-star Chris Pratt. The action-comedy has been co-written by Richardson with Jen D’Angelo, who also served as an on-set writer for The Tomorrow War.

Despite the details of the film’s plot being kept under wraps, going by the title the plot is expected to deal with something related to money. It is reported that Pratt will produce the film through his Invisible Productions banner as part of a first-look deal the studio has with Universal Pictures. 

Stranded Asset is Pratt’s second production venture with the new banner alongside Saigon Bodyguards, in which Pratt will star alongside Wu Jing and it will be directed by fellow Marvel alumni Joe and Anthony Russo.

Apart from this film, Richardson has Shoot the Rooster and Netflix's Senior Year in the post-production stage.
