The first footage of Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released yesterday at DC FanDome and it features new villains played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. The video, featuring behind-the-scenes snippets, also confirmed that the shooting for the film has been completed.

The film is expected to show how the Shazam family is trying to maintain a balance between their normal lives and being superheroes which are disturbed by the arrival of goddesses Hespera and Kalypso. The video also shows that the film might dwell deep into ancient Greek lore and feature mythical creatures.
Directed by David F Sandberg, the sequel will see the return of cast members Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman and Jack Dylan Grazer.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is currently set to release on June 2, 2023.
