Vin Diesel has penned a letter to his Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson, asking him to return to the franchise's 10th and final installment. While sharing a still of the two from Fast Five on Instagram, Diesel wrote, "My little brother Dwayne... the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes... but the time has come."

Johnson, who plays Luke Hobbs, and Diesel, who plays Dominic Cooper, had differences while filming the franchise, with Johnson calling the working environment unprofessional. Both of them have addressed their clashes multiple times ever since, with Johnson also acknowledging it in a recent interview.

Diesel added in his post, "Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love... but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny."

Johnson appeared in a total of five Fast and Furious films, including one spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw. He hinted in an interview ahead of the release of F9 (in which he did not appear) that he'll longer be acting in the future films from the franchise.

Directed by Justin Lin, the 10th Fast and Furious film is set to enter production in January next year.
