Ryan Reynolds confirms sequel to Free Guy

Ryan Reynolds announced that a sequel to his latest film Free Guy has been greenlit by Disney. Ryan, known for his wit on social media, took to Twitter to share the development. "Aaaannnnd, after 3 years messaging Free Guy as an original IP movie, Disney confirmed today they officially want a sequel. Woo hoo!! #irony," Reynolds tweeted.

Free Guy recently opened in the US and has taken a good start at the box office. The film was also met with positive critical reception and currently holds an 82% rating on the review aggregation platform, Rotten Tomatoes. Free Guy follows a bank teller, played by Reynolds, who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, and quickly decides to become the hero of his own story.

There is has been no official announcement on the film's release in India yet.
