Daniella Pineda joins Gerard Butler's action thriller The Plane

The film is set to begin production in Puerto Rico later this month

Actor Daniella Pineda has joined Gerard Butler's upcoming action-thriller The Plane.

Directed by Jean-Francois Richet, the film is written by Charles Cumming, JP Davis, and Matt Cook. Based on the book by Cumming, the film follows commercial pilot Ray Torrance (Butler), who after a heroic job of successfully landing his storm-damaged aircraft in a war zone, finds himself caught between the agendas of multiple militia who are planning to take the plane and its passengers’ hostage.

Pineda will play Bonnie, a professional and formidable head flight attendant.

The Plane also stars Mike Colter and Kelly Gale. The film is set to begin production in Puerto Rico later this month.

Pineda is set to appear in the Netflix series Cowboy Bebop. She will also appear in Jurassic World: Dominion, which comes out on June 10, 2022.
