After 12 long years, we get to see Superman in his own film, as James Gunn's Superman is all set to be released on July 11. Not only boasting a wide range of characters, the film has a star-studded cast to portray the roles. Here is where you have seen them beyond Superman.

Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor)

As the big bad Lex Luthor, Hoult is all set to give Superman a tough time. But his previous venture in the superhero genre was as the shy Dr Hank McCoy, who turns into Beast, a quintessential member of the X-Men. From X-Men: First Class to X-Men: Dark Pheonix, Hoult's portrayal as the moral core of the team, is a sharp contrast to what will come next.

Isabela Merced (Hawk-Girl)

Before evading villains, she was evading zombies and the drug cartels. Isabela Merced most recently starred in the second season of The Last of Us as Ellie's love interest, Dina. She has also portrayed the child explorer Dora in Dora and The Lost City of Gold, and has starred in Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Her previous superhero entry was in 2024's Madame Web, as Anya Corazon/Spider-Girl.

Edi Gathegi (Mr Terrific)

The man who can adapt to anything becomes the man who can create anything. Edi Gathegi's previous superhero outing was alongside his Superman co-star Nicholas Hoult in X-Men: First Class. As Mr Solomon in The Blacklist, he turns into the suave sociopath that will move mountains to complete his mission. You can also check out his venture in the wild wild west as a sharp shooter in Jeymes Samuel's The Harder They Fall.

Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho)

Anthony Carrigan is not new to the superhero genre. But his appearance in Superman will be different than his previous outings as the Mist in the CW series The Flash and as Victor Zsaaz in Gotham. Notably, he was also in HBO's Barry where he played NoHo Hank.

Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner/Green Lantern)

The actor is a James Gunn regular, appearing in almost all of the director's films from Slither and Super to Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad. Being an established television actor, he is a lead in shows like Firefly, Castle, and The Rookie.

Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane)

The Marvelous Ms Maisel might be her most famous work, but Rachel Brosnahan has appeared in House of Cards, The Blacklist, and Patriot's Day. Brosnahan was recently seen alongside Rami Malek and Laurence Fishburne in The Amateur.

David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman)

At long last, we take a look at the works of the Man of Steel. David Corenswet has been slowly rising with projects on Netflix like The Politician and Hollywood. He has also appeared in House of Cards. Beyond his work on TV, he has appeared in films like Twisters (2024), Pearl, and The Greatest Hits.
