Academy Award winner Rami Malek is in talks to co-star with Denzel Washington in the crime thriller, Little Things. John Lee Hancock, who is best known for helming The Blind Side and The Highwaymen, in on board to write and direct this film.

The story follows a burned-out Kern County deputy sheriff named Deke, played by Washington, who teams up with a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detective named Baxter, to reel in a wily serial killer. It's for this detective role that Malek has been approached. The 'little things' of the title refers to Deke's tendency to point out minor details that prove to be eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. Meanwhile, Deke must wrestle with a dark secret from his past.

The film is expected to go on floors this fall after Malek finishes shooting for Bond 25, which is currently in production. The Bohemian Rhapsody-star is also currently filming the final season of the series, Mr. Robot.
