Madonna Sebastian debuts in Kannada with Kotigobba 3

Ever since the announcement of Kotigobba 3, Sudeep fans have been curious about who will be cast opposite the superstar. We now hear that Madonna Sebastian has been finalised to play the female lead in Shiva Karthik’s directorial debut.

The Malayalam actor of Premam fame will make her Kannada debut with this film produced by Surappa Babu. Interestingly, 2018 has been seeing a number of heroines from other regional languages making their entry in to the Kannada industry. And Madonna is the latest to join the bandwagon.

The last few Sudeep starrers have all featured female leads who have paired up with the actor for the first time -- Kotigobba 2 starred Nithya Menen, Hebbuli starred Amala Paul, Aakanksha Singh was roped in for Phailwaan, and now, Madonna Sebastian will feature in Kotigobba 3.

Madonna, who has a keen interest in music, made her Malayalam debut with Premam, which brought her into the limelight. Soon after, she made her Tamil debut opposite Vijay Sethupathi in Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. In addition, she also featured in the Malayalam film, King Liar, opposite Dileep. The actor also reprised her role as Celine in the Telugu remake of Premam with Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan. Having made an appearance in Dhanush-directorial Power Pandi, Madonna also starred in director KV Anand's Tamil film, Kavan, opposite Vijay Sethupathi once again.

With this debut in Kannada, she will join the list of heroines who have worked in all four languages in south India. Apart from this, Madonna is also shooting for an English film, Humans of Someone, which is now in the post-production stage.

Madonna will be joining the crew of Kotigobba 3 on June 10, and the team will be heading to Belgrade. In the capital of the southeast European country of Serbia, they will be shooting extensively in a 40-day schedule.

As earlier reported Sudeep, who has just one song left to complete for The Villain, is currently juggling between Phailwaan and Kotigobba 3.
