Shahid Kapoor's next is Batti Gul Meter Chalu

On the occasion of Diwali, Shahid Kapoor announced today that the title of his upcoming film will be Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film will be directed Shree Narayan Singh of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame.

The project is produced by T-Series and KriArj Entertainment.

Meanwhile, the actor will next be seen alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati, which is slated for release on December 1.
