On Thursday, a pre-release event was held for Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai. At the event, Ravi Mohan, who plays the antagonist in the Sudha Kongara directorial, spoke about the camaraderie he shares with Sivakarthikeyan while expressing gratitude to the makers of the film.
Speaking about Sudha Kongara and the film's producer, Aakash Baskaran, he said, "When I went for the first day of the shoot for Parasakthi, I had a lot of thoughts about how it would be. But all the doubts went away thanks to the crew of the film. My primary gratitude is to Sudha ma'am, who beautifully blended me into the film's storyline. Today, it is difficult to plan a budget to make a film with just one hero. But producer Aakash Baskaran has managed to rope in three heroes for this film, which is no small feat."
The actor was also full of praise for his co-star, Sivakarthikeyan. "I also have to thank Sivakarthikeyan for his camaraderie. Even when we had to perform stunt sequences on set, he was always sportive, and we always had coordination. He made me feel comfortable performing with him. I am honoured and proud to be a part of Siva's 25th film. Undoubtedly, this film will be a milestone for all and even for Tamil cinema," he added.
Parasakthi also stars Sreeleela and Atharvaa in prominent roles. Reportedly, Rana Daggubati is also a part of the film, but the makers are yet to disclose the same. The film marks Sreeleela's debut in the Tamil industry.
Parasakthi is Sudha Kongara's fourth film after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Potru. Sudha has written the film along with Arjun Nadesan, with an additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. The crew of the film includes GV Prakash as the music composer, Ravi K Chandran as the cinematographer and Sathish Surya as the editor. Aakash Baskaran is producing the film under his Dawn Pictures banner.
Dev Ramnath is serving as the creative producer, along with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara, who are serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies is distributing the film. With post-production in full swing, Parasakthi is gearing up for a release on January 14, 2026.
