With barely a week left for the release of Parasakthi, actor Sivakarthikeyan struck an emotional chord at the film’s audio launch, held on Saturday, as he opened up about his journey, his struggles, and his approach to cinema.

Addressing the audience, Sivakarthikeyan revisited his early years, saying, “I studied and completed my education. After that, I tried my luck in television. My father passed away. When I was doing TV shows, my mother once asked me, ‘How many people even know you? How many people do your shows actually reach?’”

Reflecting on how far he has come since then, the actor added that moments of doubt still surface, but today he responds with confidence. “Whenever I face situations like this now, I tell my mother, ‘Look here, see how many people are standing by me,’” he said, acknowledging the unwavering support of his audience.

Sivakarthikeyan made it clear that his words were meant for everyone, both admirers and critics alike. “This message is for those who like me and wish to become like me, and also for those who don’t like me and think, ‘If he has come this far, why can’t we?’ If the message reaches you, that’s enough,” he said.

Sharing a broader life lesson, the actor remarked, “When you decide that you are going to do something, the world will question you on day one, asking, ‘What are you going to do?’ One day, the very same world will ask, ‘How did you do it?’”

He also addressed the recurring conversations around the nature of his film choices, stressing that acting remains his only focus. “Acting is my job. Even if I act in political films, all I bring to the table is my acting. That’s the only thing I will do,” Sivakarthikeyan stated. Expressing his creative aspirations, he added, “I just want to act in many genres and explore different kinds of content, that’s all.”

Putting speculation to rest, the actor clarified his stand on politics, saying, “I don’t align myself with any political party or plan films with such intentions. Even when I did Amaran, people said the same things back then.”

Helmed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi also stars Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa. The film is gearing up to hit theatres on January 10, a day after the release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan.
