Actor Arya, who was last seen in Saindhav last year, is currently working on Vettuvam. On Thursday, on the occasion of the actor's 45th birthday, the makers of his film, Mr X, unveiled a new poster of the actor. Arya is seen with a man, two pistols in hand, and looks suave with a black leather jacket and sunglasses.

While the plot details of the film directed by Manu Anand are yet to be revealed, the previously released teaser showed dormant secret agents springing into action after being activated when a nuclear device goes missing from India. The film will revolve around how much the agents can be trusted with this operation. Manu's previous film, FIR, was also an espionage thriller, which dealt with the themes of betrayal and trust in the context of Islamophobia.

The film also stars Manju Warrier, Sarath Kumar, and Gautham Ram Karthik in crucial roles, with the rest of the star cast consisting of Athulyaa Ravi, Raiza Wilson, Jayaprakash, Kaali Venkat, and Anagha.

In a previous conversation with CE, Manu said that Mr X would be an action drama. "The story revolves around two individuals, played by Arya and Gautham, who embark on a journey towards a common mission. The film unfolds with how their decisions lead them to a situation and how they come out of it," he says, adding that Mr X also explores father-son emotions.

Meanwhile, Arya also has Ananthan Kaadu, along with Vettuvam, in various stages of production. He is set to star alongside his wife, Sayyeshaa, in his 40th film, tentatively titled Arya 40. He also has Sarpatta Parambarai: Round 2 in the pipeline.
