As actor Manju Warrier celebrates her 45th birthday, the makers of her upcoming film Mr X, starring Arya in the lead role, revealed her character's look.
While the plot details of the film directed by Manu Anand are yet to be revealed, the previously released teaser showed dormant secret agents springing into action after being activated when a nuclear device goes missing from India. The film will revolve around how much the agents can be trusted with this operation. Manu's previous film, FIR, was also an espionage thriller, which dealt with the themes of betrayal and trust in the context of Islamophobia.
In a previous conversation with CE, Manu said that Mr X would be an action drama. "The story revolves around two individuals, played by Arya and Gautham, who embark on a journey towards a common mission. The film unfolds with how their decisions lead them to a situation and how they come out of it," he says, adding that Mr X also explores father-son emotions.
In addition to Arya, the film also stars Manju Warrier, Sarath Kumar, and Gautham Ram Karthik in crucial roles, with the rest of the star cast consisting of Athulyaa Ravi, Raiza Wilson, Jayaprakash, Kaali Venkat, and Anagha.
The technical crew of Mr X consists of Arul Vincent cranking the camera, Dhibu Ninan Thomas composing music, and Prasanna GK handling the edit. The filming for Mr X is said to have taken place across India, Uganda, and European countries.
Meanwhile, Manju Warrier was last seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal in the lead, with her previous Tamil film being Viduthalai Part 2 in 2024.
