The teaser for Arya's upcoming film, Mr. X, was unveiled on Saturday. The film is helmed by Manu Anand and also stars Manju Warrier, Gautham Karthik, and Sarath Kumar in prominent roles.
The teaser shows the lead cast as secret agents who are activated when a nuclear device goes missing from India. However, Manju Warrier's character is seen questioning the trustworthiness of these agents, even as we see glimpses from Arya's past life.
Athulyaa Ravi, Raiza Wilson, Jayaprakash, Kaali Venkat, and Anagha feature in supporting roles. Manu Anand has previously helmed Vishnu Vishal's FIR. Divyanka Anand Shankar and Raam H Puthran have penned the screenplay for the film, along with Manu.
In a previous conversation with CE, Manu said that Mr. X would be an action drama. "The story revolves around two individuals, played by Arya and Gautham, who embark on a journey towards a common mission. The film unfolds with how their decisions lead them to a situation and how they come out of it," he says, adding that Mr. X also explores father-son emotions.
The technical crew of Mr. X consists of Arul Vincent cranking the camera, Dhibu Ninan Thomas composing music, and Prasanna GK handling the edit. The filming for Mr X is said to have taken place across India, Uganda, and European countries.
A release date for Mr. X is yet to be announced.
