Pasupathy's latest web series, Kuttram Purindhavan, is currently streaming on SonyLIV. During the promotional interviews for the series, the actor opened up about the similarities in his characters in Sarpatta Parambarai and Bison Kaalamaadan and the efforts he took to ensure they didn't have any resemblance.
Speaking to a media house, he said, "In Sarpatta Parambarai I play a teacher, and in Bison Kaalamaadan I play a father. But both characters are observers who watch the match. The challenge was to portray them differently, since I am playing both. Their roles make it easy for a resemblance to appear, so I began by changing my body language. In Sarpatta Parambarai, Rangan Vathiyar is always stiff and erect, carrying pride and ego in his chest. His experience shows in his posture. In Bison, Vellusamy is constantly nervous, so to bring that out, I made sure to keep my body loose throughout."
Kuttram Purindhavan: The Guilty One, is helmed by Selvamani Muniyappan. The series also stars Vidaarth and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli in lead roles. An excerpt from CE's review of the series reads, "Set within a small village where everyone is a neighbour, and every character is a known person, there are not many turns one can take in a whodunnit to establish the key culprit, but Kuttram Purindhavan keeps the guesses aplenty, especially in the last two climactic episodes."
In Mari Selvaraj's Bison, Pasupathy played Vellusamy, the father to Dhruv Vikram's "Vanaththi" Kittan. In Pa Ranjith's Sarpatta Parambarai, his Rangan Vaathiyar is the boxing coach to Arya's Kabilan. With Sarpatta Parambarai 2 in pre-production, Pasupathy is expected to reprise his role in the sequel.
