Sony Pictures has announced that they're set to re-release all major Spider-Man films across India this November. Through this initiative, Indian audiences will be able to revisit all the important live-action and animated Spider-Man films. Fans who have not witnessed some of the early films in theatres also get the opportunity to witness their superhero on the big screen through this re-release.
Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man trilogy directed by Sam Raimi will mark the first phase of the re-release, with the films scheduled for November 14. On November 21, Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man series will be released. The third-generation Spider-Man, Tom Holland, and his films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will follow thereafter, opening in theatres on November 28. Furthermore, the animated Spider-Verse films will make a comeback the following week, from December 5.
In an official statement, Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (India), addressed the significance of bringing Spider-Man films back to cinemas: "Spider-Man is one of the most enduring and inspirational characters in the world. Bringing back all his films to Indian cinemas is a way to honour the fans who have loved him for decades, while also giving new audiences the chance to experience these iconic stories on the grandest scale."
The Spider-Man films will be re-released in Indian cinemas throughout November and early December, with screenings scheduled across various regions. This extended run will give audiences ample time to catch the films on the big screen at their convenience.
