

Nandamuri Balakrishna, who previously headlined Daaku Maharaaj, is now gearing up for his next big release with Akhanda 2. The film also marks his reunion with writer-director Boyapati Srinu after films like Legend, Simha and Akhanda. On Friday evening, the makers resumed their promotions by revealing the promo for their first single.
Titled ‘The Thaandavam song,’ the single promises to capture the spiritual fervour of the narrative in quintessential Boyapati Srinu style. Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher are the playback singers for the promisingly high-octane song, while Kalyan Chakravarthy has penned the lyrics. The full single will be out on November 14.
Thaman S, who has had a successful year with soundtracks like Game Changer, They Call Him OG, and Telusu Kada, is the music composer for Akhanda 2. He had also composed music for Balakrishna's previous film Daaku Maharaaj.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus banner, Akhanda 2 stars Samyuktha as the female lead. In the technical team, Tammiraju and AS Prakash have served as the editor and art director, respectively. The cinematography is co-helmed by C Ramprasad and Santossh D Detakee. Boyapati, who is also the writer for this film, previously made Ram Pothineni starrer Skanda, which released in 2023.
The first film of the glimpse was unveiled two weeks ago. Akhanda 2 makers are planning to release their film in Hindi as well, on a wide scale. A the box office, the Balakrishna starrer will have some competition from Sharwanand starrer Biker, which hit theatres on December 6.
Akhanda 2 is the sequel to Akhanda, which released in 2021.
