We had previously reported about Sharwanand’s upcoming sports-thriller being titled Biker. On Saturday, the makers unveiled a brief glimpse of their film at a grand event in Hyderabad, also announcing the release date.
Biker will arrive in theatres on December 6. The newly-released glimpse focuses entirely on the sports-driven backdrop of the film, with multiple high-octane visuals of dirt bike racers and the racetrack, lending great adrenaline to the teaser. The voiceover also underlines the essence of life of every biker, that’s brimming with struggle, high-stakes, and relentless resolve. According to a statement released by the team, ‘Biker is a captivating tale of a family spanning three generations, united by love and dreams against the thrilling backdrop of motocross racing set in the early 90’s and 20’s.’
The teaser also perfectly showcases the physical transformation achieved by Sharwanand, who looks chiselled and slick never like before.
Directed by Abhilash Kankara, Besides Sharwanand, Biker also stars Malavika Nair, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki: 2898 AD. Ghibran is the music director for the project. J Yuvraj is the cinematographer, whereas Anil Kumar P is the editor. Vikram Reddy is onboard as the presenter.
Produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Uppalapatti Pramodh, Biker marks the fourth collaboration between Sharwanand and UV Creations – they had earlier worked together on films like Run Raja Run (2014), Express Raja (2016), and Mahanubhavudu (2017).
Upon it’s release, Biker will have a clash at the box office with Balakrishna starrer Akhanda 2 that’s slated for a December 5 release.
Sharwanand’s previous film Manamey, which also starred Krithi Shetty, performed average at the box office. His upcoming films include Nari Nari Naduma Murari, which is being produced by People Media Factory.
