At a press meet held on July 30, Vijay spoke about feeling unusually composed before release day. “Usually before a film releases, things are a little chaotic. However, this is the first time I am feeling calm and content,” he said. He credited this sense of ease to audience support reflected in advance bookings.
The team recently visited Pawan Kalyan on the sets of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, where they discussed the film’s scale and production journey. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government approved a 10-day ticket price hike for Kingdom.
Reports suggest that Kingdom has already crossed Rs 15 crore in day-one advance bookings, with over 15,000 tickets sold for its USA premieres. The film’s high pre-release interest has been further boosted by promotional events and music launches.
Anirudh Ravichander’s soundtrack has played a significant role in building buzz, with tracks like 'Hridayam Lopala, Anna Antene, and Ragile Ragile' gaining traction online. The makers held a pre-release where Anirudh performed 'Ragile Ragile' track. Vijay, Sandeep Vanga, Gowtam Tinnanuri also joined to release a podcast.
Kingdom's trailer, released earlier this week, showcased the transformation of Deverakonda’s character from a covert spy to an unexpected ally within enemy lines. The film, despite its violent sequences, secured a U/A certificate from the censor board.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, Kingdom features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and Satyadev in a crucial role. The film will release in Telugu and in Hindi under the title Saamraajya.
The film was postponed multiple times due to various reasons like reshoots, delaying for Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu among others. Finally the makers had to oblige to the film's OTT partner's demand and they locked a July 31 release date.
The technical crew includes Anirudh Ravichander (music), Jomon T John and Girish Gangadharan (cinematography), Navin Nooli (editing), and Avinash Kolla (production design), with action choreography by Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza, and Real Satish.
Kingdom’s teaser also featured multilingual voiceovers by Jr NTR, Suriya, and Ranbir Kapoor.
All eyes are now on Kingdom’s July 31 release, as audiences wait to see Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s collaboration bring this ambitious spy-action drama to life.
