
The makers of Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, have announced a new release date for the film, July 4. Previously slated for a May 30 release, the decision to postpone has been made twice now, with initial plans aimed for March.
In an official statement, the team said: “To our dear audience, we wish to inform you that the release of our film Kingdom originally set for May 30 has been rescheduled to July 4. We explored every possibility to stick to the original date, but recent unforeseen events in the country and the current atmosphere have made it difficult for us to move forward with promotions or celebrations.”
They further added that the film will now be presented in the best possible way, “With the creative excellence and spirit it deserves. We truly value your support and hope to receive your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4.”
Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom is touted as a pan-Indian action thriller set in Sri Lanka under military control. The film’s teaser features voice-overs from Jr NTR (Telugu), Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi), and Suriya (Tamil), introducing an intense world of conflict, survival, and rebellion.
Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead. The film is backed by producers Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios.
Kingdom’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Jomon T. John and Girish Gangadharan. Editing is handled by Navin Nooli and production design by Avinash Kolla. The makers recently released ‘Hridayam Lopala’ which turned into a chartbuster.
