AA22xA6, the Atlee-Allu Arjun project which was announced in April, has been one of the anticipated pan-India projects of recent times. While Deepika Padukone was roped in a few weeks ago, to play a prominent role, the rest of the official cast announcements are yet to be made.

Amidst the anticipations, reports are now coming in that Hollywood star Will Smith is in talks with the makers for the antagonist’s role. The film is reportedly based on a story of reincarnation, and will involve plenty of sci-fi elements as well. Will Smith’s previous film appearance was in 2024 film Bad Boys: Ride or Die. 

Meanwhile, some other reports also state that the AA22xA6 team is also considering Dwayne Johnson for the part.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is being reportedly planned on a budget of Rs 800 crore. Atlee is also the writer for his film. At a recent event, Atlee was quoted saying, "“We are bringing in all the latest technologies. My focus is on creating a visionary cinematic experience. This film is my dream, and I believe the magnum opus will make us all proud.” Earlier this year, Allu Arjun and Atlee visited leading VFX studios in Los Angeles, including Ironhead Studio, engaging with technicians like Jose Fernandez and James Madigan.

Other actors in consideration for leading female parts include Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhagyashri Borse. Other primary crew members of the film are yet to be officially announced as well.
