

Actor Trisha, who is celebrating her 43rd birthday on Monday, visited the famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati to offer prayers and seek blessings. Videos circulating on social media show her entering the temple early morning, coming out and then greeting the media.
The visit also comes at a crucial time as results for assembly elections in five states in India are set to be announced today. Trisha's co-star Vijay, who made his foray into Tamil Nadu's political arena through his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is also awaiting results. His party members had contested in all of the 234 seats in the state while he stood from two constituences - Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East.
Since Trisha's appearance with Vijay at a wedding event, rumours have been circulating on the internet on their alleged relationship. Talks further intensified after Vijay's wife Sankgeetha filed for divorce from the actor based on irreconcilable differences, allegations of adultery, and mental strain. However, both the actors have not clarified their stance.
On the film front, Trisha was last seen in Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam's Thug Life (2025). She is currently awaiting the release of Suriya's Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. The actor plays a lawyer alongside her Aaru (2005) co-star. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, acclaimed Malayalam actor Indrans, Sshivada, Lubber Pandhu fame Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi. The director is also playing a cameo role in the film.
The rural action entertainer is set for release in theatres on May 14.
