Actor Prashanth, who arrived as a special guest on a popular TV show, sent fans on a nostalgic trip after coming on stage and dancing with his co-star Simran for the iconic song 'Kadhal Kaditham' from their 1999 hit film Jodi.
Videos of their dance, recreating the song on screen after 27 years, is now being widely shared on social media. Audiences on X called them the "OG pair" and commented about how it brought about a smile on their faces.
In the same show Dance Jodi Dance for Zee Tamil, the Andhagan star shook his leg with actor Sneha for another evergreen song 'Anbe Anbe' from Shankar's popular Jeans film, released in 1998. Sneha is part of the judging panel of the show.
On the work front, Prashanth, who was last seen in Vijay's The Greatest of All Time in 2024. He is currently shooting for Ranjan – The Advocate, directed by his father and veteran filmmaker-actor Thiagarajan. Priyanka Rajakumaran, actor Devayani's daughter, and Hari, son of producer S Kadiresan (Five Star Creations banner) will debut as leads in the movie, which is the official remake of the hit Telugu film Court: State vs a Nobody, which released last year.
On the other hand, Simran last played the lead in Sasikumar's blockbuster movie Tourist Family, directed by Abishan Jeevinth. Up next, she will be starring alongside Rajinikanth as the female lead in Dharman, which is being backed by Kamal Haasan and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
