Actor-singer Shruti Haasan recently shared two personal revelations during an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, one about her hair routine and another about a decision from her teenage years that upset her father, actor Kamal Haasan.

Responding to a fan who asked about her hair care routine and how often she visits salons for treatments and styling, Shruti said she has stayed away from salons for years. “I haven’t been to a hair salon in at least five years. The last time I coloured my hair was 2017. I cut and treat my own hair,” she wrote.

The actor, known for her signature long black hair and distinctive style choices, revealed that she handles her hair maintenance herself rather than relying on regular salon visits.

In another response during the session, Shruti spoke about getting a belly button piercing at the age of 19 and recalled her father’s reaction to it. After a fan asked if she had a belly piercing and when she got it done, Shruti replied, "Yes, I do. When I was 19. My appa was very, very angry about it. #teenagerebel.” While she did not elaborate further, the actor described the decision as part of her rebellious phase.
