Ram Charan’s Peddi, which hit theatres on June 4, did not perform as expected at the box office. The film suffered losses in overseas markets and also in the Hindi belt. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the high-budget film features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.

The film received a good response in Andhra Pradesh, but in Telangana, it still needs to collect more to reach a stronger position.

Now, according to the film’s team, the makers are adding new scenes to Peddi from Thursday onwards. Nearly two weeks after its theatrical release, the film is entering its third week with an updated version featuring additional footage.

The makers have officially announced that the revised version will include around six minutes of brand-new content. From Thursday, audiences will get to watch an additional 5 minutes and 56 seconds of footage, giving fans and repeat viewers another reason to experience the film in theatres.

Adding to the excitement, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial will also be available at regular ticket prices from Thursday. The revised pricing is expected to attract more audiences, especially family viewers.

Ram Charan’s performance in the film received appreciation from audiences and critics alike. He played the titular character Peddi, who fights for recognition for his village and its people. However, many viewers felt that the film’s runtime was slightly lengthy.

AR Rahman composed the music for the film, and the songs have already become popular among listeners.

The film also faced controversy over a few scenes involving Janhvi Kapoor, following which director Buchi Babu Sana apologized and removed certain portions from the film. Now, the makers are adding nearly six minutes of new footage as part of the updated version.

Presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film continues its theatrical journey with the latest changes from Thursday.
