Just a few days ago, we reported that Pradeep Ranganathan is speculated to produce a woman-centric film starring Mamitha Baiju and Ashwath Marimuthu in key roles. While it has only been speculated all this while, the film has been officially confirmed by actor Swasika.

Swasika was recently seen in Karuppu, headlined by Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji. She played a small grey-shaded role alongside director-actor RJ Balaji. While speaking about her upcoming films to SS Music, she revealed that she has joined the cast of Pradeep Ranganathan's next project as producer.

Confirming the project, Swasika said, "A film has started under Pradeep Ranganathan sir's production banner. I am a part of the film alongside Mamitha Baiju and Ashwath Marimuthu. I am getting to do a good character in this combination. Ashwath is debuting as a hero in the film. Audience favourite Mamitha is headlining this female-centric movie. It has just gone on floors, and I have commenced filming."

While Swasika did not reveal details about the characters, speculations are rife that Ashwath plays a cop in the film. With the film already under production, the shooting is expected to be wrapped up soon. While these reports have not mentioned a director, it is speculated that a debutant and an erstwhile assistant of Pradeep Ranganathan will helm the film. The makers are yet to officially make an announcement about the project.

This yet-to-be-titled film will mark Pradeep's sophomore production venture. The actor-director made his debut as a producer with Loveyapa, the Hindi remake of his Love Today. He was one of the many producers of the film. The film marks Pradeep's second collaboration with Mamitha Baiju after Dude and with Ashwath Marimuthu after Dragon.

Mamitha Baiju was last seen in Dhanush's Kara. She plays a lead role in Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which is yet to hit theatres. She is currently gearing up for Vishwanath & Sons, co-starring Suriya. She also has Irandu Vaanam with Vishnu Vishal, a film with Sangeeth Prathap, and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit with Nivin Pauly in the pipeline.

Ashwath Marimuthu, who last helmed Dragon, is currently working on Silambarasan's STR 51, which is in the pre-production stage at present. He is speculated to helm Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 173 next. Pradeep Ranganathan was last seen in LIK. Swasika is currently gearing up for the release of Nooru Saami in Tamil on June 19, in which she stars alongside Vijay Antony.
