Ever since actor Dhanush's fan club unveiled a flag for the actor, rumours about his political entry have been making the rounds. Netizens have now started comparing Dhanush to Vijay, whose Vijay Makkal Iyakkam paved the way for his entry into politics.
Interestingly, Kasthuri Raja, director and Dhanush's father, recently said anybody and everybody can enter politics in an interview while he was promoting his film, Habeebi. On Wednesday, the director graced the press meet of Love Oh Love, which marks the sophomore outing of his grandson, Pavish Narayanan.
At the press meet he was once again asked if Dhanush intends on making his political entry anytime soon. Kasthuri Raja opened up with a rather safe answer. He said, "I really don't know. You should ask him this question."
Kasthuri Raja, along with Selvaraghavan, introduced Dhanush to feature films with Thulluvadho Ilamai in 2002. Known for films like Ettupatti Rasa, Veera Thalattu, and Aatha Un Koyilile, among others, the director was recently seen making his acting debut in Habeebi, which won the praise of Dhanush.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has a number of films in his pipeline. His next, Om (D55), with director Rajkumar Periasamy, will also star Mammooty, Sreeleela and Sai Pallavi. Then, D56 will be directed by Lubber Pandhu director Thamizharasan Pachamuthu. He is also set to reunite with Mari Selvaraj after Karnan for a film which will feature music by AR Rahman.
Some reports suggested him joining hands with PS Mithran for a film backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and another with Siva, which are yet to be confirmed. He is speculated to collaborate with Venkat Prabhu, the announcement of which is slated for Friday. Also in his pipeline are his Ilaiyaraaja and APJ Abdul Kalam biopics—the production development details of which are scanty.
